QualificationsThe services are qualified by almost 10 years of experience in European biomedical publishing as technical-linguistic editor for university researchers, multinational publishers and specialistic journals, a rich experience of biomedical research at several U.S. universities and in the Italian pharmaceutical industry, documented by original research publications in peer-reviewed journals.Valerie Matarese, Ph.D. was born in New York, USA, in 1962. She earned a bachelors of science (B.S.) in 1984 at Cornell University (New York) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at University of Minnesota in 1990. She worked in basic research in oral microbiology at the University of California at San Francisco (1984-1985), in cell and molecular biology at the Whitehead Institute (1990-1992) of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and in molecular pharmacology at GlaxoWellcome Medicines Research Centre in Verona (1993-1998). In 2007, she was profiled in Science magazine's online careers section. She is currently member of:
Antonio Bertazzon, M.D. was born in Treviso, a province of Veneto, northern Italy in 1955. He graduated in Medicina e Chirurgia at the Università di Padova (Italy) in 1982. He worked in basic research in biochemistry and biophysics as a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (1985-1988) and as a research associate at the University of Minnesota (1988-1992).
